Lauren and Jared :: Mackay Gardens Wedding Photography

Lauren and Jared were married on March 18th, 2017 at Mackay Gardens and Lakeside Preserve in Lake Alfred, Fl. This is one of my favorite venues. I love quaint outdoor locations with lots of personality and a bit of a rustic/historic vibe. This place is just right up my alley! They kept things low key and relaxed with a smaller bridal party and not a lot of fuss/stress. The ceremony was held outside in a location with just the most PERFECT lighting a photographer could ask for. Afterwards, we did the family photos in the same spot because the light was so flattering. Then we did a few pics with the bridal party, and the rest of the cocktail hour was spent doing photos of the bride and groom together. We utilized the ceremony location as well as some cool bamboo and rustic scenery. The last spot we snagged a few pics at was a beautiful yellow Tabebuia tree. These things are only in bloom for a few weeks out of the year, so we got REALLY lucky!

The reception was held outside with market lighting hung overhead...sooo pretty! After a few speeches and special dances, the couple danced the night away. I grabbed them during dancing to get a quick photo with some sparklers and the venue in the background. This was a special request by the bride, and we were more than happy to oblige. I think it turned out great! Finally, at the end of the night the couple had their grand exit with glowsticks waving overhead!
